Sharkoon introduces the new SATA QuickPort Duo USB 3.0 hard drive dock, which gets one more than the docking slot SATA QuickPort. The new dock is able to handle direct connection of two SATA hard drives in both 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch form factor. It has two USB 3.0 SuperSpeed connectors and LEDs for power and HDD access.

Toshiba introduces at the CES 2010 its new Satellite E205 that is one of the first notebook PCs to include Intel’s Wireless Display Technology (Widi). This new satellite (model E205-S1904) is powered by Intel Core i5 430M processor, 4GB of RAM and Mobile Intel HD graphics. It gets a 500GB hard drive and a slot-loading DVD SuperMulti burner.

The Satellite E205 comes with a 14-inch LED-backlit display. Thanks to the Widi technology, users can “wirelessly connect the laptop to a big screen HDTV and enjoy digital content with great image clarity and amazing sound – at the touch of a button.” Other features include webcam, 802.11b/g/n WiFi , memory card reader, HDMI port, eSATA / USB combo port and up to 6 hours of battery life.

The Toshiba Satellite E205 will be available exclusively at Best Buy stores and the price starts at $ 1k.

The news that Apple might be using its own chips to power in upcoming tablet device is sweeping the internet today. Is anyone surprised that Apple would actually use its chips? Err … it’s quite obvious that if Apple builds something that would be a big iPhone “and that would run on the same OS, they might use something that’s similar (but beefier) to what an iPhone is … Anyway, we already know that the iPhone CPU can go much faster, but the casing can not really take the heat. A bigger tablet will have a cooling system Batter Apple will also need a new graphics core because the pixels on the tablet count would 6x bigger than the iPhone’s (assuming a 1280×720 resolution).

Apple has applied for a network access license that would allow the firm to sell officially-Sanctioned iPhones. The background is that the Chinese Ministry of Industry has an issue with the iPhone having a WIFI connection. the “why” is not clear because there are countless WIFI phones produced, and probably available in China.

Anyhow, there are an estimated two million iPhones in China, coming from various sources, so there’s clearly a demand. Apple must have decided that it was worth jumping in with WIFI. We suspect that Apple might try to disable WIFI in the software, in which case, it could be hacked.

The Audi A4 quattro that set the record is powered by a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 engine that’s been converted to run on the compressed gas. It can run at 226.55 mph (364.6 km per hour), beating the Bugatti by 20km/h.
