Apple iPad Tablet Device Officially Announced

Apple made its official tablet device, and calls it iPad, which basically a larger version of iPhone or iPod touch. The iPad is powered by a custom-designed A4 Apple 1GHz low-power SoC gets 16-and 64GB of internal storage.

Apple’s iPad features a 9.7-inch IPS LCD display with LED-backlit, multitouch, 1024 × 768 resolution, and fingerprint-resistant coating and oleophobic support for Bluetooth and WiFi 802.11 b / g connectivity. It is equipped with accelerometer and ambient light sensor. There are also built-in speakers, microphone, a 3.5mm audio jack and dock connector. There is also Wifi +3 G model that supports tri-band UMTS / HSDPA and quad-band GSM / EDGE networks. The new Apple tablet runs the iPhone OS with Enhanced Version of Contact, Mail, iPod, iTunes and apps includes the iBooks app for users to browser, buy and read e-book, and is compatible with all existing iPhone apps. However, it still lacks multi-task.

The iPad has built-in 25Whr rechargeable lithium-polymer battery offers up to10 hours of surfing the web on Wi-Fi, video watching, or listening to music. It is eco-friendly as it is PVC-free, BFR-free and has recyclable aluminum and glass enclosure, arsenic-free display glass and mercury-free LCD display.

Lenovo IdeaPad U1 Hybrid Notebook/Slate Tablet Combo

Lenovo brings to the CES its hybrid IdeaPad U1 notebook that features a unique, all new PC form factor, in addition to its new netbooks and all-in-one PCs. The U1 comes with 11.6-inch LED multitouch screen that can be removed and used as an independent slate tablet. The device basically combines a notebook and a slate tablet into one, each with its own processor OS.

Camangi WebStation 7-inch Android Tablet

Camangi is going to release its 7-inch WebStation Android tablet next month for $ 400 The WebStation has a 7-inch 800 × 480 glass touchscreen display, a 2 megapixel camera, 0.3 megapixel webcam, GPS support, WiFi 802.11b / g connectivity, a microSD card slot and USB port

The Camangi WebStation therefore can be used as a digital frame thanks to its built-in stand on the back.

Asus Eee PC T91MT Multitouch Tablet Netbook

Asus is going to release in the U.S. The multi-touch-enabled Eee PC T91MT (model T91MT-PU17-WT) tablet netbook. The T91MT comes with a swivel 8.9-inch multitouch display and runs the latest Windows 7 Home Basic that supports multi-touch gesture control.

Boosted by an Intel Atom Z520 1.33GHz processor, the Eee PC T91MT has 1GB of memory and a 32GB SSD. It has webcam and supports WiFi. The Eee PC T91MT is available for pre-order now from Amazon for $ 550.

Nokia RX-51/N900 Maemo 5 Tablet Previewed

Nokia is planning its RX-51/N900 tablet based on the Maemo 5 Linux OS. The new tablet has been previewed by mobile-review. The Linux-based tablet has a side-slide form factor and comes with full QWERTY keyboard.

Based On ARM Cortex-A8 processor that boost the iPhone and Palm Pre 3GS, GTS and 32GB internal memory. It has a color touchscreen, a 5 megapixel camera, and a microSD card slot. It support WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity and we can expect 3G/3.5G support.

Duros 8404 Rugged Tablet PC with Atom

Duros 8404 announced the new rugged tablet PC that is based on Atom processor. As a rugged device, the duros 8404 is sealed to IP-65 levels for dust and water ingress and tested to MIL STD 810F for vibration, functional shock, high and low temperatures and drops.

The tablet is powered by either Intel’s Celeron M 1Ghz atom or 1GHz processor, up to 1GB of RAM and up to 120GB hard drive or 64GB SSD. The 8404 has a 8.4-inch sunlight viewable touchscreen with 800 × 600  and could reach 1024 x 768 resolution. It features integrated WiFi 802.11a/b/g and Bluetooth 2.0 EDR. GSM / GPRS / Dege, UMTS, HSDPA, GPS can also be added.

Duros 8404 has hot swappable battery. It is available in multiple colors. It runs Windows XP / Vista or Linux.
