GammaTech announced its latest rugged notebook PCs, the Durabook D14 E-Series, which is the first rugged notebook to have 1TB hard drive space. Powered by Intel’s Core 2 Duo 2GHz processor, the D14 D-Series has up to 8GB of memory and integrated graphics. It is equipped with two 500GB hard drives with RAID controller.
Three models are available: the D14E0 with RAID 0 setup to provide space as a single 1TB drive; the D14E1 in RAID-1 that eliminates data loss concerns by providing real time data backup and synchronization, and the D14E2 with two separate 500GB hard disk drives .
GammaTech’s Durabook D14 D-Series meets the Military Standard 810F offering protection against drop, shock, spill and dust and is protected by a magnesium alloy case. The laptop also comes with a spill-resistant keyboard and anti-shock material.
